Mitsubishi Electric today announced the release of the XD3500U installation projector. This new installation projector model enables users to deliver stellar images in large areas such as conference rooms and lecture halls, thanks to its stunning 5000 ANSI lumens brightness.
High brightness isn’t the only outstanding feature of this DLP™ projector - superior colour performance is also realised thanks to the combination of BrilliantColourTM technology, a five segment colour wheel and selective lamp power modulation. Each of these innovative features ensures truer image reproduction from your presentations, with rich and vibrant colours to captivate the audience.
“Brightness isn’t the only thing to consider when choosing a projector for a large area – image reproduction is also an important factor” said Stuart Baker, Visual Information Systems Senior Manager, Mitsubishi Electric Australia. “Fortunately with the XD3500U, the colour boosting technologies incorporated not only ensure accurate image reproduction, but also vibrant image reproduction.”
Breakthroughs in projector design have significantly boosted the longevity of the projector’s operating life. A newly designed, enclosed colour wheel system has effectively prevented the accumulation of dust on the colour wheel sensor, resulting in sharper images which are clear of colour bleeding. A new lamp drive system has also been designed which maximises projector brightness for the entire service life of the lamp.
In addition to great picture quality and sturdiness, the XD3500U has been designed with user-friendliness in mind. A very quiet operating volume of just 26dBA (in low mode) lets your audience enjoy presentations free of any distraction from the projector. It also offers remote administration and monitoring via a local area network (LAN) allowing the user to control the projector through a web browser, as well as receive e-mails if a projector requires maintenance (e.g. when it’s time to replace the lamp). Side access to the lamp bay simplifies the replacement process (e.g. a projector suspended from the ceiling doesn’t need to be removed from its mounting bracket when exchanging the lamp).
A filter free design coupled with a lamp life of up to 4000 hours mean the projector has a low cost of ownership and reduced maintenance needs, saving the user time and money. Power consumption of less than 1W in standby mode also reduces running costs (while at the same time reducing the projector’s carbon footprint). A password lock and user programmable logo screen provides adequate security measures to discourage theft of the unit.
The XD3500U features a motorised lens shift function and interchangeable lenses are available so you can change between short throw, long throw, tele-throw and a rear projection short throw fixed lens.
