Mitsubishi Electric Appoints New Local Managing Director

Mitsubishi Electric Australia today announced the appointment of Kotaro Yamanaka to the role of Managing Director. Mr. Yamanaka plans to dedicate his time to fostering long-term relationships with customers and the expansion of business by introducing advanced technology to Australia.

“From my experience, for business to be successful in these volatile times, we must develop long-term customer satisfaction. Therefore I am committed to working with our customers to ensure that we will continue to supply reliable and advanced technology products and value-added service” said Mr. Yamanaka.

“I’m excited about expanding Mitsubishi Electric’s business in domestic air conditioning products and CITY MULTI VRF commercial air conditioning systems” he added.

Mr. Yamanaka also intends to continue developing opportunities for the Mitsubishi Electric Visual Information System’s products range, including projectors, commercial display monitors and Diamond Vision screens to the B2B market.

“I’m looking forward to the further introduction of advanced technology into the public infrastructure sector in Australia” said Mr. Yamanaka. This technology includes the latest in energy systems such as gas insulated switchgear (GIS), railway equipment, telecommunications and other new products.

Mr. Yamanaka has a Bachelor of Economics Degree from Keio University.

Mr. Yamanaka brings to Mitsubishi Electric a range of varied experience from his previous roles in the Japanese domestic market and his senior positions in overseas sales and marketing.
