Mitsubishi Electric Australia today announced the availability of its new MDT651S 65-inch public LCD display. The new screen incorporates the very latest in display technology such as network connectivity for remote operation and management and superior image reproduction and operability in a sleek, slim-line bezel design that is both stylish and professional.
Advanced connectivity is one of the key features of the MDT651S. Each display comes standard with an innovative CAT-5 transmitter/receiver pair, which allows both video and control signal data to be transmitted over the same network cable up to a distance of 150 m. A LAN connection also allows for network administrators to remotely control and monitor the display.
The MDT651S includes all the standard video and data inputs users would expect on a commercial LCD panel, including HDMI™ and DisplayPort™. Using the 15-pin D-sub connections, up to 25 MDT651S displays can be combined to create a single large video wall, with frame compensation taking into account the bezel widths. The MDT651S also has flexible orientation support, and can be installed in landscape, portrait or full face-up positions.
“The MDT651S is a great addition to our slim-line bezel display range, which now consists of 42” inch, 52” inch and 65” models.” said Stuart Baker, Senior Manager of the Visual Information Systems department, Mitsubishi Electric Australia. “It has all the great features offered by our current models such as the CAT-5 connectivity, while offering our customers added flexibility when choosing panel sizes for a commercial display application.”
Other features include twin ambient light sensors, located at the front and rear of the display. These sensors can be set to automatically and accurately adjust the MDT651S’s brightness to suit any environment. Colour matching is also a key feature of the MDT651S, with 6-axis colour adjustment allowing users to adjust the hue and saturation of Red, Green, Blue, Magenta, Yellow or Cyan independently. Mitsubishi Electric’s optional Colour Match software, when used in conjunction with an external analyser can quickly and easily colour match any display wall with just the press of a key.
The MDT651S also includes the standard features found with all Mitsubishi Electric commercial LCD displays, such as power and input scheduling, a screen saving function to prevent image retention, and PinP/PoutP modes. The MDT651S comes with a remote control with discrete input switching. Optional speakers and display feet are also available.
